A reflection of the dawn captured in granular minerals. In a shimmering blaze of light, 9 new watercolors form a garland of bright illumination.  Named after the Grecian personifications of grace, beauty, adornment, mirth, happiness, and rest. Encapsulating that which I consider to be the fairest radiance, the grain of earth suspended in liquid honey and tree sap.

Please note that these watercolors are distinctly unique from our other ‘Celestial’ shimmers, handcrafted from naturally sourced materials and terrestrial minerals they cast a wide far-flung net of glimmering spheres. I would suggest using these versatile paints as either an overlay to other hues for a layered brilliance, or to paint with them in harmonious flow allowing the minerals to gather and disperse at the will of nature.

** Please note that these shimmery watercolors are light, and translucent in hue. Handpoured from natural earth minerals, many have a texture like wet sand. They can be used as an overlay for a soft glow layered on top of other watercolors, or brushed on their own for a wispy ethereal effect. If you seek strong, vibrant, and saturated paints, please choose from our earth mineral or ‘Celestial Lights’ shimmers which are more intense. 

Our lovely mineral watercolor paints have beautiful granulation and can be layered from thick to thin. Artist-grade and lightfast, each pan is hand-poured to exacting traditional recipes and techniques in our studio using the highest quality earth pigments, and natural watercolor binding medium made from distilled water, honey, glycerine, and the sap of acacia trees.

*** Please choose carefully, our mineral & gemstone watercolor paints are accessible to all to purchase and paint with, however, these paints act decidedly different than factory or synthetic watercolors. Because these paints are handcrafted from natural earth minerals and crystals they have a consistency like wet sand and do not disperse or soak into the paper as conventional watercolors do, but rather they hover more gracefully on the surface. We suggest that you add water in a gentle balance being careful to not drown these gemstone paints while working with them and to build up the colors in layers for a deeper saturation of color.
